This is the tenth conference in what is now the
largest (and friendliest) annual conference on international trade in
the world.
ETSG 2008 is
being hosted by the Faculty
of Economic Sciences, Warsaw University, in co-operation
with the Institute of
International Economics, Warsaw School of Economics. Please
give a look at their webpage
for more information on the venue.
Prize for Best Paper on Trade and EU policy
We are very pleased to announce that the Chair Jacquemin of
the Université
Catholique de Louvain and the research center LICOS
of the Catholic
University of Leuven
(Belgium) will award a prize also at the ETSG 2008 in Warsaw.
This year the prize will be for the best paper in the domain
of "Trade and EU Policy". This prize amounts to 1000€.
All full papers (submitted by the deadline of 01
September) dealing with issues regarding trade and the
policies of the EU will be considered for the prize. The prize
will be presented during the ETSG Conference by Professor Hylke
Vandenbussche.
Presentation Facilities
All of the rooms being used for sessions are equipped with overhead
projectors and data projectorprojectors connected to personal
computers.
Powerpoint and Acrobat software will be installed on all machines. If
you wish to use a data projector, please bring your presentation on a
USB memory stick or CD-ROM. Files can be loaded onto the computers
during the breaks. Due to time pressure within sessions, it will not be
possible to connect your own laptop to the projectors.
Registration
Please remember that all participants, regardless of whether
they present papers, will be required to pay €50 on registration in
Warsaw. This is only a fraction of the per capita cost, but will help
in keeping ETSG conferences viable.
Our preferred option is to collect
the €50 in cash at the registration desk.
Local Organizers:
Jan Michalek, Gabriela
Grotkowska, Elzbieta
Czarny and Eliza
Chilimoniuk.
